Real Estate Agent Continuing Education – Virtual Class

Instructor:  Nic Jordan

Real Estate Agent Safety:  2-hour Dept. of Commerce Certified Continuing Education Credits.  Real estate agents face a high risk of violent encounters in the workplace, more so than many other professionals, which is why the USCCA has developed a highly specific mini-class to address this reality.
WHAT REAL ESTATE AGENTS WILL LEARN THROUGH THE 120-MINUTE REAL ESTATE AGENT SAFETY & SELF-DEFENSE MINI-CLASS:
*How to identify job-related activities that put agents at risk of an attack.
*Situational Awareness:  Teach students the finer points of tuning into their environment, helping them avoid a potentially violent encounter.
*Commonly used cell phone safety features and apps that can be used to keep agents safe.
*Legal use-of-force:  What criteria must be met before an agent can use reasonable or deadly force–and the consequences that might follow.
*Defensive Options:  Armed, unarmed and less lethal.
Agents, use this opportunity to become better protected and prepared today!  No refunds allowed after registration, but credit for future class will be given.

Class Dates (choose one):  May 27, June 6, July 9, Sept. 12, Oct. 16, Nov. 19, or Dec. 23; 10:00 A.M.-Noon.  Register 7 days prior to class.

Protecting Your Congregation & Countering the Mass Shooter – Virtual Class

Instructor:  Nic Jordan

Church Safety:  Protecting Your Congregation - This mini-class focuses specifically on lessons which can help to better protect your house of worship through being able to identify a mass shooter, creating an emergency operations plan, and learning how to treat traumatic injuries that may occur.  The lesson covers specific considerations related to houses of worship, teaches you how to evaluate your current level of security at your house of worship, and offers practical exercises which can be done with students to practice the lessons being taught.
Countering the Threat - Topics explored in Part Two include:  Knowing the signs; creating an emergency operations plan for your school, house of worship or business; special security considerations for schools; special security considerations for houses of worship; using the Run, Hide, Fight Methodology; when fighting back means using a firearm; triage and treat the wounded; the criteria for gun free zones; where do we go from here?  Whether you accept the recommendations or not, you will find something of value in Part Two, even if it’s learning how to properly develop an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for your house of worship, school, or business, or if it’s learning how to make a field-expedient tourniquet or chest seal in order to protect the life of a critically-injured victim if you ever find yourself at the scene of a mass shooting.  No refunds allowed after registration, but credit for future class will be given.

Class dates (choose one):  Jul. 23, or Oct. 10; 9:00-11:00 A.M.  Register 7 days prior to class.

Class taught virtually via Zoom or Google Meets-link will be provided to registered students.
